Instrument Panel for Ford Pickups Inspired by the 1953 to 1955 American F100 Dashboard or Compatible Models
This panel replaces the original instrument panel.
It features a speedometer with total and trip odometers, a tachometer, a fuel level indicator, an engine temperature gauge, and six warning lights.
Its translucent lighting has 7 selectable colors and includes a DIMMER function for brightness control. The needles have red illumination.
Installation is simple; the old panel must be removed from the original frame (the frame is not included), which will then hold the new panel.
FEATURES IN DETAIL:
SPEEDOMETER
- Fully configurable, it can work with any transmission ratio and tire outer diameter; just install a speed sensor (not included).
- Accepts square wave signals (typically generated by hall-effect sensors) or sine wave signals (*).
- Offers various methods for speed calibration, including a very easy 60 km/h method.
- The total odometer can be set to an initial KM value, useful for maintaining the vehicle's original mileage.
- The trip odometer can be reset at any time using the keypad.
Once configured, speed indication is accurate.
TACHOMETER
- Works with Otto cycle engines (4, 6, and 8 cylinders) or Diesel cycle engines (*). Not recommended for points ignition systems.
- For DIESEL engines, the RPM signal must be obtained from the W terminal of the alternator.
ENGINE TEMPERATURE INDICATOR
- Electronic, works with a modern temperature sensor (model MTE4054 / ODG 052.0.0.0.3), featuring two wires for excellent performance.
- The temperature sensor and its harness are included with the panel.
FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR
- Programmable for any float and tank combination. Programming is easy and can be done in two ways: by entering resistance values for empty, half, and full tank, or by filling the tank with fuel.
WARNING LIGHTS
- Features 6 indicators covering the vehicle’s most important signals (Alternator, oil pressure, brake, left turn signal, right turn signal, and high beam).
Technical Specifications:
- Operating voltage: 12 VDC
- Speed range: 0 to 200 km/h
- RPM range: 0 to 7,000 RPM
- Engine temperature range: 40 to 120 degrees Celsius
- Fuel level indicator with 1 pre-programmed float and adjustable float option
- Programmable for any transmission ratio (requires sensor)
- Warning lights with 6 indicators
- Easy parameter configuration through the display and accompanying keypad
Requirements:
- For the speedometer: a three-wire speed sensor or a two-wire inductive sensor + CSI (*).
- For the fuel level indicator: a level sensor/float with a maximum resistance of 1K Ohms.
(*) IMPORTANT: Reading sine wave signals generated by inductive sensors (two wires) or taken from the alternator must be 'conditioned' through inductive signal conditioning modules CSI-1 (ODG#1470000), which must be purchased separately.
It should be noted that the minimum amplitude of these signals must be one volt peak-to-peak (1Vpp).
12-month warranty against manufacturing defects.
